Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Homie AI and its services — including contract analysis, AI chat, tenant profile, WhatsApp integration, and property search — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, except where an alternative dispute resolution mechanism applies as described in Clause 9.

2. Not Legal Advice

AI-generated analysis may contain errors, omissions, or interpretations that do not reflect current law or your specific circumstances. Risk assessments provided by the platform are based on general market standards and risk library rules — they are not legal opinions and should not be treated as such.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information for analysis.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree not to use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws in Singapore or your jurisdiction.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's operation.
• You warrant that you have the right to upload any documents submitted to the service, and that doing so does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, confidentiality, or privacy rights.
• You agree not to upload content that is fraudulent, malicious, or designed to manipulate AI outputs.

4. User Content Licence

By uploading documents or submitting content to Homie AI, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the services you have requested. This includes transmitting contract text to our AI processing provider (Google Gemini) to generate analysis results.

We do not claim ownership of any content you upload. This licence terminates when you delete the relevant content or close your account, subject to our retention schedule set out in the Privacy Policy.

5. Data Processing

By using Homie AI, you agree that your personal data will be collected, used, and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Documents you upload will be transmitted to our AI processing provider as described in the Privacy Policy. If you wish to minimise the personal data processed, we recommend enabling Privacy Mode before uploading contracts.

6. Intellectual Property

The Homie AI platform, including its underlying AI models, risk library, software, and design, is the intellectual property of Homie AI. All rights are reserved.

AI-generated analysis reports produced through your use of the service are provided to you under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish these reports without our prior written consent.

7. Service Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Homie AI at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive or fraudulent behaviour, or if we discontinue the service.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account closure, your personal data will be handled in accordance with the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Homie AI shall not be liable for:

• Any decisions made based on AI analysis results provided by the platform.
• Losses arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misinterpreted AI-generated analysis.
• Any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service.
• Service interruptions, data loss, or unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control.

Use of the platform is at your own risk. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or SGD 100, whichever is greater.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Homie AI, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days from the date one party notifies the other in writing of the dispute.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, either party may refer the matter to mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre. If mediation fails or is not agreed upon, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes — including changes that affect your rights, data handling, or liability — we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice via email or an in-app notification before the changes take effect.

For minor or administrative changes (such as corrections or clarifications), we may update these Terms without advance notice. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
